Polsinelli Launches Women-Led Seattle Patent Group

We are pleased to announce that patent attorneys Emily Peyser and Katherine Lee have joined Polsinelli’s Seattle office.

Ms. Peyser is a Shareholder with a background as a chemical engineer at several industry-leading companies.  She handles every stage in the lifecycle of her clients’ intellectual property assets, with an emphasis on planning, procurement of U.S. and foreign patents, opinions, enforcement, and licensing.

Ms. Lee is a Counsel with an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering.  She supports clients in various technical industries with patent prosecution, patent portfolio development, pre-litigation analysis, post-grant proceedings, and patent litigation.

In 2018, Polsinelli launched its Seattle office with a group of experienced business attorneys.  As reported in The American Lawyer, Polsinelli plans to build its Seattle IP team as part as a nationwide push to expand its IP practice.  Ms. Peyser told The American Lawyer that she and her women patent colleagues were particularly attracted to Polsinelli because the firm has a “Women in Intellectual Property” initiative.  “Polsinelli believes that we provide better client service with a diverse team of attorneys,” she said.  “And that’s also a belief that I hold, and so it just seems like a perfect match for me to move to Polsinelli.”

Senior Anti-Piracy and Brand Enforcement Attorney Joins Iconic Entertainment Company

Chief Compliance Counsel Joins Fluke Corporation

Halley Agnello has joined Fluke Electronics Corporation as Chief Compliance Counsel.  Previously, she worked at Apple Inc. in Global Security Investigations, and was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois.  Ms. Agnello graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School.

National Timberland REIT Hires VP, General Counsel

We are pleased to announce that Michele Tyler has joined PotlatchDeltic in Spokane, Washington, as VP, General Counsel.  Previously, Ms. Tyler was SVP, Chief Legal Officer, and Corp. Secretary at a publicly-traded defense services company in Colorado Springs.  Ms. Tyler graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.

Limeade Hires VP, Legal

Harris Legal Search congratulates Scott Fletcher on joining Limeade as VP, Legal.   Mr. Fletcher is an experienced business attorney who has worked at Microsoft and, most recently, a startup based in San Mateo, California.  He graduated from the University of Washington School of Law.

REI Hires New Corporate Counsel

Anna Szygorski has joined Recreational Equipment, Inc. ("REI") as Corporate Counsel focused on transactions.  After graduating from the University of Washington School of Law in 2010, Ms. Szygorski worked as a corporate associate at Fenwick & West in Seattle.  Most recently, she worked at a publicly-traded pet insurance provider as its lead corporate attorney.  Ms. Szygorski, an avid backpacker, is excited to advance REI's mission "to inspire, educate, and outfit for a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship."

Litigation Attorney Joins PACCAR

Chief Legal Officer of Pokémon Company Named to Legal 500

We’re pleased that Don McGowan has been named a top 500 GC/CLO in the world by the Legal 500.  Over a decade ago, Harris Legal Search placed Mr. McGowan as Chief Legal Officer of The Pokémon Company International.

Global Technology & Commerce Company Hires Two Experienced Attorneys

Christopher Farmer has joined Amazon.com as Senior Corporate Counsel, Physical Retail Operations. Mr. Farmer was previously General Counsel of the U.S. division of Europe’s largest grocery retail chain. Mr. Farmer graduated from Duke University School of Law.

In addition, Amazon.com hired Jung Ju as Senior Corporate Counsel focused on SEC reporting and compliance.  Mr. Ju was previously Associate General Counsel at AIG, and an attorney at Cleary Gottlieb in New York. Mr. Ju received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
