Amy Weston has joined Miller Nash’s Seattle office as a partner focused on corporate and technology law.  Since becoming a lawyer in 2007, Weston has practiced corporate law at a Seattle full-service law firm, a Boston business law boutique, and Choate, Hall & Stewart.

We are pleased to announce that Tyler Cotton has joined Amazon headquarters in Seattle as Corporate Counsel, Corporate & Securities.  Prior to joining Amazon, Cotton worked at Dell Technologies as the primary attorney responsible for securities and general corporate matters.  After graduating with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, Cotton practiced as a corporate associate at Jackson Walker and Hunton & Williams.

Congratulations to Stacey Burton who joins Elbit America as Deputy General Counsel.  She will be based at headquarters in Texas.  Prior to joining Elbit, Burton focused on government contracts and regulatory law at NASA; the EPA; the United States Air Force; Morgan, Lewis & Bockius; and as partner and chair of government contracts at a Washington, D.C. law firm.  Burton also had senior roles at Huntsman Corporation, where she focused on nanotechnology, and most recently at L3Harris Technologies, where she acted as General Counsel for Broadband Communications and Integrated Vision Solutions.

Harris Legal Search is pleased to announce that Shan Liao has joined Omeros Corporation as Patent Counsel focused on biotech IP.  Prior to joining Omeros, Liao worked at a patent boutique supporting biotech, biochem, and biomedical clients, as well as a technology start-up.  She graduated from the University of Washington School of Law, where she earned a full-tuition scholarship funded by Microsoft.

K&L Gates in Chicago welcomes Alicia Hawley as e-Discovery Analysis & Technology (e-DAT) Counsel.  With more than two decades of experience, Hawley focuses on routine and complex e-discovery matters, best practices, case and narrative development, fact investigations, and discovery strategy.  She has represented Fortune 100 companies, banks, broker-dealers, C-suite executives, and financial institutions in investigations and prosecutions by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Department of Justice, the Illinois Inspector General, and various state Attorneys General.  In addition to her work focused on e-discovery, Hawley also maintains a practice related to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.  Prior to joining the firm, Hawley practiced e-DAT law at other AmLaw 50 law firms and graduated from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
