Costco Wholesale Hires Securities Counsel

Costco Wholesale welcomes Alejandro Torres as in-house counsel focused on securities law, corporate governance, and sustainability matters.  After graduating from Columbia Law School, Torres practiced securities law as a law firm partner and in-house, including at Starbucks Corporation.

Costco Wholesale Corporation operates an international chain of membership warehouses that carry quality, brand-name merchandise at substantially lower prices than are typically found at conventional wholesale or retail sources.  Costco operates 845 warehouses, including 582 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 107 in Canada, 40 in Mexico, 29 in the United Kingdom, 31 in Japan, 18 in Korea, 14 in Taiwan, 13 in Australia, 4 in Spain, 2 in France, 2 in China, and 1 each in Iceland, Sweden, and New Zealand.  Costco also operates e-commerce sites in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Australia.
